Role

We’re looking for a Business Analyst who is passionate about working with growers and other stakeholders in the food supply chain to define and specify data products, systems and tools that help them in their decision making.

You will work with our other Business Analysis, UX/UI, Engineering and Data Science teams to translate user needs into effective, creative and efficient solutions for our users.

You will be responsible for taking customer and internal stakeholder business requirements and developing system design specifications. You will develop and document user stories, acceptance criteria and business rules and work with the development team to see the outcomes are achieved.

Some travel to rural and regional areas of Australia may be required.

Responsibilities

The Business Analyst will:

  1. Take business requirements and translate them into Technical Requirements including User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Data Requirements and Business rules
  2. Meet with customers and internal stakeholders to understand their systems, problems, needs, inputs and outputs and ways of working to define these, and assist in determining solutions and responses
  3. Work closely with UX/UI Designers, Developers, Testers, Data Scientists and end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction
  4. Work with the Customer Success team and Marketing to develop training material and onboarding processes to ensure that we maximise the capability of our product and align to the customer problem statement / use case
  5. Work with stakeholders to ensure that product gaps and customer issues are captured on the product backlog
  6. Collaborate with the Development Team to clarify questions, report bugs and resolve issues
  7. Develop a deep functional and technical understanding of our system
  8. Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of the developed applications as well as some system testing
  9. Identify options for potential solutions and assess them for both technical and business suitability
  10. Help us to continually improve our BA processes

Skills

To be successful in this role you will ideally:

  1. Have a degree or tertiary qualification and/or experience working in agricultural or food science
  2. Be a motivated and proactive individual with experience working in a software development environment
  3. Demonstrate an ability to analyse information and processes to draw meaningful conclusions, providing recommendations as required
  4. Be an outstanding communicator (both written and oral) with great attention to detail
  5. Be autonomous, efficient and show success in delivering quality outcomes to set deadlines
  6. Have strong relationship building skills and the ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders
  7. Have experience of working with Agile methodologies
