Role: Customer Communications Manager
Reporting to: Sales Manager
Salary: Market competitive package including participation in The Yield’s employee share options plan.
Hours: 6-month contract, 3-4 days per week with flexible options (transition to permanent full time in 2020 also an option).

The Yield is an Internet of Things (IoT) agriculture technology company. We take the guesswork out of growing. We help improve customers’ yields by providing on-farm sensors and a customised information service to make faster decisions.
The world needs to produce 60% more food by 2050 to feed the planet at a time of unprecedented resource constraints and the impact of climate change. The purpose of this role is to deliver for a range of strategic communications activities to support The Yield products, services and company.
With an aptitude for all thing’s communications, this broad role is responsible for delivering various key content pieces aligned to the product roadmap and customer journey. Encompassing, all aspects of modern communications including content development, website, social media, collateral, media relations and stakeholder communications, this exciting and varied role will suit a self-starter with ideas, outstanding written and verbal skills and the ability to wear many hats.
Some interstate travel may be required.

You will have a degree or tertiary qualification in relevant disciplines or equivalent experience.
You are an outstanding communications professional comfortable dealing with sophisticated corporates and a knack for developing clear, concise and authentic communications for a variety of stakeholders. With the confidence to build and maintain key relationships inside and outside the business, you will be a strategic thinker willing to roll up the sleeves to execute on our annual delivery plans. You thrive in an environment of rapid change and innovation. You aren’t afraid to take responsibility for your work, to stretch yourself and to be challenged. We also hope you love all things agriculture and can relate to producers across the value chain.
