Role

This minimum eight-month maternity leave contract role will give a talented Digital Marketing Specialist the opportunity to manage the global digital marketing activities for a fast-growing AgTech company, with strategic global investors like Bosch and KPMG.

Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager, the Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for owning The Yield’s global digital presence and managing and implementing our digital strategy.  

You will be a part of a proactive, highly-talented team, working towards the launch of a global SaaS product in mid-2019. You will use your knowledge and expertise to build and optimise end-to-end digital funnels that will attract, nurture and convert leads.  

This is the perfect opportunity for a digital marketer with strong technical skills, looking to make their mark in a rapidly growing industry.


Responsibilities  

1. SaaS Product

End-to-end management of multi-channel marketing strategies of a global SaaS product. Includes:

  • Building and executing strategies that cover awareness, demand generation, lead nurture and conversion
  • Automating detailed customer journeys and campaigns in Marketo
  • Research and development of content to support marketing efforts throughout the customer lifecycle
  • Drive campaign success through analytics and optimisation

2. Website

Responsible for the management of The Yield websites. Includes:

  • Updating content as needed via the Webflow CMS
  • Monitoring and logging website activity and traffic trends via Google Analytics  
  • Prepping and posting new content (e.g. blog posts, job ads)
  • Liaising with our web developers to address major issues and changes as they arise  

3. PPC

Implement and manage new and existing PPC campaigns. Includes:

  • End-to-end management of Google Ads campaigns, including ongoing optimisation  
  • End-end-management of Taboola syndication campaigns, including ongoing optimisation
  • Working with our Marketing Coordinator to implement and optimise social media campaigns on Twitter and Facebook
  • Monitoring and logging all PPC activity, including spend, CPM and CPC for reporting purposes

5. SEO

Technical and on-page SEO management, including deep-dive analysis of competitors. Includes:

  • Monitoring The Yield websites for technical SEO issues and crawl errors
  • Optimising on-page copy for SEO  
  • Working with our Marketing Coordinator to develop SEO-driven content ideas
  • Analysing competitor SEO to find new keyword and content opportunities
  • Building backlinks

6. Marketing Automation

Support The Yield’s marketing and product teams with marketing and customer journey automation. Includes:

  • Setting up nurture programs for potential customers
  • Maintaining existing automation and lead scoring programs
  • Supporting our Marketing Coordinator with automated communications to users
  • Editing and building email and landing page templates

Skills

To be successful in this role you must have:


  1. Minimum 5 years experience in a digital marketing role, ideally for a mobile app or SaaS product
  2. Strong knowledge and understanding of building and optimising PPC campaigns  
  3. Demonstrated ability in on-page and technical SEO
  4. CMS experience  
  5. Experience with marketing automation software – Marketo preferred
  6. Skills in HTML and CSS
  7. Excellent time management skills
  8. The ability to work autonomously and as part of a dynamic, small team
  9. A willingness to wear many hats and roll with the fast-paced, ever-evolving nature of a technology startup


Qualifications

You will have a degree or tertiary qualification in relevant disciplines or equivalent experience.

You are a strong digital marketer with a passion for the technical and analytical side of things. You possess the confidence to build highly targeted campaigns, content and digital funnels, and the ability to analyse those campaigns and optimise them accordingly.  

You are comfortable with utilising a suite of marketing software, including Marketo, Webflow, Moz and Google Analytics. You are a strategic thinker willing to roll up the sleeves and execute on tactical plans. You thrive in an environment of rapid change and innovation. You aren’t afraid to take responsibility for your work, to stretch yourself and to be challenged. We also hope you love all things food and can relate to producers across the value chain.
