Ros Harvey, The Yield Technology Solutions
Sydney AgTech startup The Yield uses Internet of Things technology, as well as data science and artificial intelligence, to tackle challenges in farming and throughout the food supply chain.
Founded in 2014 by managing director Ros Harvey, The Yield started with a real-time data application designed to help oyster farmers but has since expanded into agriculture, solving challenges at the farm level and working with some of Australia’s largest food corporations in intensive irrigated crops.
“Technology is critical in delivering security, particularly in light of current disrupted food supply chains,” Harvey says.
“Our Sensing+ microclimate solution helps customers to work largely remotely in managing the needs of their crops and their labour requirements. It facilitates the uptake of automated robotic operations in farming and remote management of dispersed assets.”
